What’s new in Les 3 Vallées ski area for Winter 2017/18

The 2017/2018 season is fast approaching; it’s time for a round-up on all the new developments coming to Les 3 Vallées ski area and ski lifts.

Val Thorens - Orelle

There are 2 major new developments this winter in Val Thorens, in addition to ongoing maintenance (gazex renewal, purchase of new piste groomers).

First of all, the creation of a new blue run that will offer stunning views over the resort.
La Corniche run will set off from the top of Le Pionnier and Plein Sud chair lifts and go to the bottom of Le Croissant run, avoiding the resort centre.

On the Orelle sector, the new Croix d’Antide blue run will start at the top of the Plan Peyron chair lift and join up with the end of La Lory run.

But the flagship new development for this winter is the replacement of La Moraine chair lift with a faster 10-seater gondola lift. It will offer a high-comfort climb and the chance to make use of the numerous blue runs at the summit of La Moraine to skiers of every level.
This new fully automated installation also has the special feature of running without an operator .
